Newly caught fish should be gutted, washed and packed in ice to keep them in good condition as soon as possible.
Tie a knot at one end of the tube.
Measure the length of your fish and ADD 8".
Cut the tube to your calculated length.
Insert the fish headfirst, ensuring to squeeze out excess air.
Knot the other end as close to the tail as possible.
Your catch is now ready for storage, transport, or freezing.
Properly frozen fish will stay good in your freezer for up to 6 months, though fatty fish like trout and salmon have a shorter shelf life in the freezer, and will last approx. 3 months.
