How the Snowbee Smoker Cooker Works

  • Fuel: Runs on methylated spirit. Fill burners halfway for 20–25 minutes burn time, which is suitable for most smoking sessions.
  • Burner placement: Positioned beneath and outside the food chamber so only clean heat and smoke reach your food.
Snowbee Smoker Capacity
  • 3–4 small fish (¾–1lb each), gutted but whole
  • Larger fish (2–3lb): head & tail to fit, or butterfly fillet for even cooking
  • Meat and poultry: fillet or cut into smaller joints or steaks for thorough results
Smoker Flavour Control
  • Wood dust/chips: A thin, even layer across the tray is sufficient
  • Recommended: Snowbee English Oak Dust – a well-balanced, traditional smoke flavour
  • Strength: Adjust smoke intensity by adding more or less dust as preferred
Smoker Preparation Tips
  • Fish: Always salt or brine first, then dry until tacky before smoking to ensure the flavour penetrates
  • Meat & Poultry: Cook for longer than fish; chicken must be cooked right through to the bone. Smaller joints or off-the-bone cuts work best
  • Cheese: Not suitable, as this unit is a hot smoker. Cheese requires cold smoking equipment
