Cellire Varnish - Supplied by Veniard and a huge seller, very popular and must be in every singly fly tyers, fly tying armoury!

Cellire Varnish, available in either clear (separate listing), or a choice of these 4 Cellire Varnish colours,  the original and best head cement. Cellire Varnish 1 x 15ml individual Bottle.
To apply, use a
Varnish Applicator Bottle, available as a separate item and designed for dispensing small amounts of Cellire Varnish onto fly heads for a thin accurate application, or use a dubbing needle. If you need to thin down your Cellire Varnish, then Unitit Thinners is also available.

Full Veniard Cellire Varnish Instructions:
  • Secure the fly in the fly tying vise: Begin by placing the fly securely in the jaws of the vise. Make sure the fly is held firmly so that you can easily apply the Cellire Varnish without any wobbling.
  • Prepare the varnish: Gently shake or stir the Veniard Cellire Varnish bottle to ensure it's well-mixed. Avoid shaking it too vigorously as it might introduce air bubbles, which can affect the application.
  • Apply the varnish: Use the fine-tipped applicator needle or a fly tying bodkin to apply a thin layer of Cellire Varnish to the areas of the fly that need coating. Be precise and avoid excess varnish, as it can ruin the fly's appearance and add unnecessary weight.
  • Let it dry: After applying the varnish, allow the fly to dry completely. The drying time may vary depending on the environmental conditions, but it typically takes a few minutes to dry to the touch. Avoid touching the varnish until it's fully dry to prevent smudges or blemishes.
  • Optional second coat: If desired, you can apply a second coat of Cellire Varnish to add more protection and a glossy finish. Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the second coat.
  • Clean up: Make sure to close the varnish bottle tightly after use and clean your applicator needle or bodkin with a suitable solvent to prevent clogging for future use.
  • Please use as a guide, specific instructions might vary slightly depending on the type of flies you're tying.
